LORAN DEAN BEST
Loral Dean Best, a resident of Checotah, passed away Saturday, February 07, 2015 in Checotah, OK at the age of 77. He was born February 3, 1938 to James Dean Best & Edna (McGuire).
Loral grew up and went to school in Schulter, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joann Best, son, Michael Dean Best, his parents, James Dean Best and Edna Best, grandson, Tony Randolph, sister, Verla Walker, and brother, Lawrence Best.
Loral is survived by his daughter, Mary Lynn Thompson & husband Darren of Eufaula, daughter, Debbie Best of Eufaula, and son, Ronald Dean Best of California, grandchildren, Dalton Thompson, Randy Hirsch, April Wisman, and Troy Wisman, great-grandchildren, Abbie Lyn Hirsch, and Logan Chandler, brother, Bobby Best & wife Theata of Moore, Oklahoma, brother, Lester Best of Okmulgee, brother, James Best & wife Joann of Californa, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be from 4-8pm on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Integrity Funeral Service.
A funeral is scheduled for 2:00pm, Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Integrity Chapel (410 East Trudgeon St) in Henryetta. Interment will be at Salt Creek Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
WILLIE FRANK HANEY
Willie Frank Haney, Sr., 66, of Morris, OK passed away Friday, February 06, 2015 surrounded by loving family and friends in Tulsa, OK. Willie was born on August 25, 1948 in Seminole, OK to Hattie (Harjo) and William “Woodrow” Haney. Willie joined the U.S. Navy in 1968 and completed three tours of duty in Vietnam. Upon his discharge, Willie met and married Ellen Katherine Dunn on February 13th, 1972 and had 5 children.
Willie is survived by his wife, Ellen “Kathy”, of the home, his sons, William and Amanda, Willie Jr. and Jamie, and Michael and Kelly, all of Morris and one daughter, Jamie of Jenks; two brothers, Enoch Haney of Norman and Terry Spencer and wife, Marva, of Edmond and one sister, Greta Ruminer and husband, Allen, of Little. Three Brother-in-Laws, Thomas Dunn of Okmulgee, George Dunn and wife, Barbara, of Morris, and Otis Dunn of Muskogee; and two Sister-in-Law, Josephine Haneberg, and husband, Stacy, of Muskogee and Dora Dunn of Tahlequah. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Kelsey, Wyatt, Hattie, Kiya, Michael Jr., Tenetke, Elani, Mekko, Faith, & John; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and other family members. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, William “Jr.”, sister, Nona, and son, John.
Viewing will be held from 12pm to 7pm Monday, February 9, 2015 with wake services from 5 pm to 7 pm. at McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Okmulgee, OK with funeral services being held on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Seminole Hitchitee Methodist Church with Rev. Rick Deer and Rev. Abe Jackson officiating. Pallbearers for the services will include Chris Haney, Nick Haney, Wesley “Bo” Dunn III, Edwin Dunn, Eldon Dunn, George Dunn Jr., Haden Dunn, Trent Spencer, Scott Smith, Daniel Smith, David Shannon, Matt Holata, Mike Stacey, Bruce Warrington, John Billie, & Keith Phillips.
